This Saturday, runners, walkers, survivors and supporters will gather for the 18th Annual GO Run for Gynecologic Oncology. Every dollar raised benefits gynecologic cancer research at the USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute.

Among the most dedicated participants is Shirley Cliff (pictured below), a member of the Sisterhood of Survivors — a group of women who have been affected by gynecologic cancers. A cancer survivor herself, Cliff’s involvement in the GO Run is a testament to the power of collective strength.

“Our support group meets with a Mitchell Cancer Institute research scientist once a year to receive updates on research developments," Cliff said. "It is amazing the work being done right here on the Gulf Coast.”
