PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help Leah and Damian! Damian is one of the most awesome little guys you could ever meet and his mommy Leah is such a wonderful woman and awesome mommy to him. This precious child needs our help!! Damian (aka DZ or Dizzy) started complaining with his shoulder a few weeks ago, telling him mom that his shoulder hurt. A trip to the doctor treated with medicine with no thoughts of what was lying ahead... June 16th Dizzy was admitted to USA Children & Women...

Hello all. This is Kira posting. I apologize for not posting in quite some time but things were going pretty bad for a while. I will explain all of that later with a lengthier post but for now, I wanted to share what happened this week. Tuesday I was admitted to USA Medical Center to be started on a new medication called veletri. This is an IV therapy that is administered 24 hours a day through a portable pump that I wear around my waist. On Thursday I had a tunnel pick line inserted which goes down through a vein in my neck and comes out of my chest to attach to my pump. The first day I was on the medicine I walked around the entire floor without stopping. Day 2 I showered and washed my hair by myself for the first time in over 2 years. Today I walked half ofbthe flea market and when I got back into the truck my oxygen level got all the way up to 92. I haven't been out of the high 70s to low 80s in a VERY long time! I am so thankful for my new doctor, Dr. Karen Fagan for starting me on this medicine and giving me hope again and I thank God for the miracle he has worked for me and in me.

Please pray for Kira as she goes to get lots of test done to get her prepared to be put on the list for a lung transplant. She needs all the prayer we can get. She leaves next week. Thank you ~Dixie

Please pray for Kira she has not been doing very well this week and had an episode during a night at the movies this past Friday. Her oxygen went down to the low 60's and she nearly passed out. She had to be change to a short tube and on the house oxygen so it could be turned to 8 to get her oxygen levels back up. Usually when she has an episode like this it takes a long time for her to recover. So I am asking everyone to keep her in your prayers as she is getting her strength back. And remember her good strength is our weak strength. Never take for granted the breath that you take and the steps that you walk. Have a blessed evening!!! ~Dixie
