Hello there ๐Ÿ‘‹ After enjoying some precious time at home with my family, I am now scheduling future appointments and opening availability to new clients again!

If you (or someone you know) are looking for a counselor, or even simply wondering if counseling could benefit you in this next season, I would love to connect! I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to all new potential clients so we can talk through any questions or needs as we decide if we are a good fit.

Getting started in therapy can be both exciting and nerve-wrecking, which is why I try to make the process simple and personalized. Please feel free to contact me through my website, email address, or by phone! ๐Ÿ‚

Hello everyone! My maternity leave started a few days ago and during this time my responses via text or email may take a little longer as I prioritize some much anticipated snuggle time with our new addition to our family! ๐Ÿฅฐ

We can choose to be our own greatest supporter or our greatest critic. As you wrap up this week, I want to encourage you to slow down and increase awareness of your self-talk. It can be insightful to ask yourself, "would I talk to [insert close friend's name] like this?", and use that as a way to gauge how harshly you are speaking to yourself.

We get to create and nurture the environment of our minds, let's make it one we enjoy ๐ŸŒฑ

I am thrilled for the people of Mobile and surrounding areas who are going to be served by this incredible team of individuals! Morgan Bradwell, LICSW, PMH-C is an excellent therapist and advocate; she is such a strong supporter of her people. It is a joy and an honor to get to serve in this field with passionate people like Morgan. Congratulations on launching the Village Therapy Collective in just a couple of months!

I am so thrilled to share with you my dream come true. Village Therapy Collective is launching in Mobile, AL in January 2025!

Village Therapy Collective is made up of professionals in private practices who share a collective goal of serving the Gulf Coast through a whole-person approach.

We all deserve villages of support as we navigate each new season of life. Weโ€™ve all heard the phrase โ€œit takes a village to raise a child,โ€ but I believe that a more accurate adaptation of that phrase is that it takes a village to support *all* individuals as they learn & grow.

Think of us as your hired Village โ€” here to support you as you navigate your current season of life ๐ŸŒฟ

Stay tuned for more information about booking sessions for January 2025! In the meantime, feel free to share the news with a friend who may be looking to build her Village ๐Ÿคฉ

Try shifting your mindset today and watch the possibilities unfold. Instead of expecting the worst, try leaning into hope and trust. It's amazing how our thoughts can shape our reality. Remember, taking care of your mental health includes nurturing a positive outlook. ๐Ÿ’›

Making simple changes to our daily routine can create healthy new habits in just a few weeks. Those healthy habits add up over time! What is a habit that could benefit you as you move through your days this week?

The choices we make every day can help us or hurt us. Over time, we form habits out of those choices and it is beneficial to occasionally take stock of how your habits are affecting your life. Check in with yourself; how have you been feeling lately? Are all of your daily habits still serving you? If not, the counseling space is a great place to learn new ways of coping with life circumstances. ๐ŸŒฑ

Stay curious and give yourself grace. Emotions are a natural part of life, they come and go if we allow them to. We are responsible for meeting our own needs and for our actions in response to our emotions. ๐ŸŒฑ

โ€œReactivity is wound memory. As in a past memory of a situation which led to abandonment, rejection, and/or a sense of unworthiness is being triggered in the present moment.โ€ Mark Groves

When we find ourselves reacting to something or someone, itโ€™s important to pause and reflectively investigate. Giving yourself grace is an important aspect of being curious. And if this is something you are experiencing often, it can help to talk to someone! ๐ŸŒฑ
