Did you know that today, May 31st, is the last day Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month?

Here are some of the latest U.S. statistics:

⭐️50% of working mothers surveyed have been diagnosed with anxiety or depression.
⭐️Up to 1 in 5 women will suffer from a maternal mental health disorder like postpartum depression.
⭐️Less than 15% of women receive treatment.
⭐️Anxiety and depression have risen 37% in teen girls.

Join me in striving to de-stigmatize mental health so that mom’s seek the support they need. 💕 When children and teens have a healthy mom, they can become equipped with nurturing care that supports their self-esteem and promotes their success in becoming thriving citizens one day!

I am excited to push out content devoted toward normalizing significant distress experienced in motherhood, educating about signs of burn-out, and highlighting great resources that are available!

30 color copies printed, paid for, and given out to several clinics… then I realize an edit, “Currenting accepting private pay…” I convince myself jokingly…Currenting… it’s a word! It’s definitely a word.😅

Now, I’m one of five Licensed Professional Counselors who have teamed up to serve the southern coastal area.
