Swimming is great exercise, even for kids with physical challenges. It's great to see that our local team, CMSA, welcomes kids like Nathan and pushes them to excel!

A young swimmer with Down Syndrome is making some pretty big waves in the Port City. Earlier this month -- Nathan Sligh -- won four medals on the national level and now has his eyes set on bigger goals.

We love this story because it's not just about a young person with a disability being given the opportunity to play a sport, but about finding the sport that's right for her physically and working hard to overcome the challenges she has so she can truly excel. Bravo, Payton!
