April is Counseling Awareness Month! We'll be spotlighting each of our amazing counselors and talk about their WHY!
Our first Family Counseling therapist spotlight is Carla Adams!
"I like being a therapist because it allows me to show up for people in a deeply human and meaningful way. I value holding space for others by creating an environment where someone feels safe enough to be seen, heard, and understood without judgment. That kind of presence can be rare, and I appreciate being able to offer it. I am drawn to meeting people where they are, rather than where they 'should' be. I understand that everyone’s journey is different, and I respect the pace, struggles, and strengths each person brings. I find purpose in being part of someone’s wellness plan. Supporting people as they grow, heal, and navigate challenges gives me a sense of contribution and impact. Even small progress can feel meaningful because I know how much it can matter in someone’s life. At the core, being a therapist aligns with my desire to help, to connect, and to make a tangible difference."
