Master Deru, aka Shawn Liu, or Chinese family name Liu Xiangyang, is the 31st generation descendant, Grand Master of the Shaolin Temple, Henan province and direct disciple of the Shaolin Temple Spiritual Abbot, Great Master Suxi, the only remaining Shaolin Fighting Monk Legend, Great Master of the Shaolin Temple (pre-communist) China. Liu started training in Shaolin, traditional medicine and Qigon

g in Shaolin Temple, China when he was a very young child. Later he studied many other internal arts. Now this living legend of Shaolin's wisdom and expertise is available for you to learn from right here in Mobile! We have programs in Kung fu, Tai chi, or Sanshou kickboxing. Our classes offer a fun way to workout and get fit, helping you to become stronger, tone your muscles, and increase your cardiovascular endurance. We also incorporate basic self defense training and situational awareness to help you to be able to defend yourself should you have to. We also help to improve your self-confidence, focus, and discipline through our traditional training methods. Striving to push yourself to learn a new movement or set goals in your training can assist you with setting and achieving goals in your day to day life.
