Lunch outings are always better together! 🌶️ Our Lilac Trace and Assisted Living residents had a great time at Chili’s—enjoying a delicious meal, sharing laughs, and soaking up quality time together.

The competition was on during our Cultural Games: Sjoelen Showdown! Led by our resident Jeepje, the residents had so much fun learning this popular traditional game from Holland while staying focused and cheering each other on throughout the game. There was a lot of determination and playful competition as everyone tried their best to win.

What a great afternoon for our Assisted Living gentlemen at the Men’s BBQ Pop-up. The room was full of good food, great conversations, and lots of smiles as everyone came together to enjoy a fun and relaxing time.

Thank you to our wonderful directors and team for putting together such a special event, and of course, the food was absolutely delicious! It was such a fun way to celebrate the amazing men of Somerby!

Bill is truly the life of the party — always ready with a smile, a joke, or a song on the piano! Whether he’s playing music, painting, or spending time with friends, he brings so much joy and positive energy to everyone around him.

Many may not know that during his years as a pianist, Bill performed at the White House and even worked with Bing Crosby. What an incredible story and talent to share with our Somerby family!

One very special moment recently was when a Somerby staff member surprised him with one of his old records that she had purchased online years ago. Seeing his music again after all this time truly touched his heart and made for such a meaningful memory.

Celebrating all the amazing ladies of Independent Living with a beautiful and intimate Pasta and Pretty Ladies evening! It was such a lovely late afternoon with meaningful conversation, delicious made-to-order pasta, laughter, and special moments shared together. Our talented chefs created an extraordinary dining experience by customizing each dish to every resident’s personal taste, and cooking everything fresh to order! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this event so memorable and special. Shout-out to our wonderful chefs and to directors Kathy and Emily for helping create such a beautiful evening celebrating the incredible women of Somerby!

Battle of the Burger — Part 2: Chef Jeff Edition!

Chef Jeff is turning up the creativity in the Battle of the Burger with his bold and flavorful goat cheese & strawberry jam burger! This unique creation brings together sweet, savory, and gourmet flavors all in one unforgettable bite.

As a part of our exciting Somerby community-wide competition, residents will taste and judge each burger based on flavor, creativity, presentation, and overall favorite. The winning burger will also receive an official resident-chosen name and earn a featured spot on the Somerby menu!

Will Chef Jeff’s sweet and savory masterpiece take the crown? The competition is getting deliciously intense—stay tuned for more Battle of the Burger fun!
