This evening is a special invitation to our community. We’ll gather for Somatic Movement & Sound Bath—a practice of release, renewal, and connection.

We’ll begin with somatic movement: gentle, intentional exercises that invite you to explore presence through the body, letting go of tension and finding freedom in movement. From there, we’ll transition into a full sound bath, where crystal bowls, gong, and other instruments create space for deep rest and integration.

$20 per person, $25 at the door.

Open to the community, with a warm welcome to other sound healers who may wish to share and play.

I strongly recommend bringing a mat, blanket, and pillow for comfort, along with water and an open heart.

Limited amount of props will be available on site.

Tickets on sale thru Eventbrite beginning January 3rd.

Some people don’t generate a frequency.
They scan for one, mistaking their proximity for vision.

Inspiration acknowledges the source.
It originates from you, not from someone else.
What you’ve seen is transformed into your own craft.

Stealing skips that part.
It takes the shape, the timing, the language, and/or the platform without credit or permission.

—see Asteya.

When work is rooted in integrity, it carries a signature.
When it isn’t, it needs proximity to survive.

3 reasons why a tight b***y might not work in your favor…

1. Hip & Back Pain
When the smaller stabilizing muscles—like the glute medius and piriformis—become restricted, discomfort often shows up in the hips or low back. I usually see the tension transfer above or below the area as the body looks for somewhere else to move.

2. Limited Hip Extension
Clenching in a backbend? Struggling to drive through the hips in a power clean? Powerful movement actually requires a bit of length first. When the glute max stays overly tight, force production decreases and movements feel more effortful than they should.

3. On a spiritual note
Chronic tension here can reflect bracing, a lack of trust, or a deep-seated need for control. The body holding on when it doesn’t quite feel safe to let go.

In this moment, I’m working with slow, steady compressions through the hips and glutes, allowing the pressure to sink into the deeper layers of the tissue. This invites the area to soften, offering relief where tension has been holding on.

If you’ve been feeling the need to slow down and restore, I’m offering a 3-session bodywork package for $200 through the end of the year.

I’m practicing a quieter kind of strength—

Not hardness, but steadiness.
Not resistance, but clarity.
Not defensiveness, but presence.

When I lead with my breath,
distractions tend to fade.
As my awareness deepens,
manipulation loses its grip.
When I practice non-attachment,
discouragement typically has nowhere to land.

This is the strength the Sutras point toward:
Not unmoved because of ego,
but because of steady practice.

What have you learned from your practice this year?

🙏🏾Namaste.

“Today I open to love without fear of losing myself.”

Thank you to everyone who came out for yesterday’s somatic movement and community sound bath. The energy was warmer and had a completely different feel to it—in the best way. I noticed laughter, lingering hugs, and an overall sense of ease in the room.

I’m especially grateful for the new additions to the community sound bath. I was unsure of how this concept would turn out with everyone playing together and blending different tones—but it all came together on it’s own. I could say more, but you kind of had to be there. 😊

Thank you for joining in!

I’m grateful for the way this community continues to show up, for the space we share, and for the energy we’ll carry moving forward. More offerings are on the way!

Another private corporate retreat complete, and it was definitely one that stood out. This state-wide organization requested a relaxing experience with beginner-friendly classes and restorative sound bath sessions .

Here’s what they received:
-5 curated classes: 2 all-levels yoga classes, 2 restorative yoga + sound bath experiences, and 1 gentle yoga, yoga nidra, + sound bath session to close out their retreat.

-Breath & alignment-based instruction paired with wisdom nuggets from Don Miguel Ruiz’s Four Agreements, in-keeping with the retreat’s theme—“A Trusted Voice.”

-Subtle integrations of the 8 limbs whenever it felt natural and meaningful.

-Bolsters and blankets infused with essential oils for added comfort.

-Optional private offerings, including bodywork and reiki.
&
-Set up and breakdown of all equipment before and after the retreat.

[[So glad to team up with another facilitator in our final session. Sojourner Wright’s Yoga Nidra session was fantastic and her presence added a rich layer of depth to the experience.]]

I’d say this group is all set + fully capable of anything, especially continuing with their mission of protecting the Civil Liberties across Alabama.

I’m grateful to be able to support their work by offering practices that help sustain the people who carry such important responsibilities 🙏🏾.
