Join us for a FREE event presented by Dakota Counseling Association and The Support Circle where we will explore and better understand kids' behaviors and learn positive ways to respond!
Presented by the amazing Deb & Clark Perkins and Deb Langrehr...

We will:
*Learn playful strategies to help you connect & communicate
*Discuss challenging behaviors and effective discipline strategies
*Connect to other caregivers in the community

Mealtime begins at 5:45 PM in the Middle School Commons. There will be a parent session and activities for children 3+ beginning at 6:30 PM. We will come together at the end of the evening to do some intentional parent/child connection and practice our strategies through play!

So when the opportunity for Ashley and I to attend the Veterans Yoga Project's Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery Training, we knew it was a MUST DO.

These can be difficult groups to engage in therapy. We will take a lot at their developmental needs and expectations. And then experiment with a variety of interventions that are age appropriate and inviting for their particular age. We will also look at activities that can be used in multi-age and family settings. This is a fun, interactive training with takeaways ready to use right away!

To be completely transparent...I was nervous this weekend. I was literally shaking in my booties. It was one of the first BIG moments for Wholehearted...and the unveiling in front of people I respect the most, my South Dakota Counseling Association peeps, was SCAAAARY.

Should I have been worried? NOPE. We had 52 entry's into our September "Helping the Helpers" Growth Bundle and ya'll made us feel so darn welcome.

The appreciation cannot be summed up into words. We will be drawing from our entries and announcing the BIG winner on Friday, April 28th!
