This week I’ve been driving back and forth to the Bay Area and wanted to find something other than music to listen to. I found this podcast called “Raising good Humans”. Oh my gosh friends, I felt compelled to share with you all this amazing, informative, funny, easy to listen to podcast. I loved this episode regarding girls turning into teenagers. It sat with me and I hope that something in this podcast can sit with you all. Enjoy!

To all the momma’s out there. Motherhood is HARD. Remembering who you are outside of being a cook, referee, diaper changer, chef, nurse, taxi, maid, and all the other hats we wear, we forget to just be us! We forget to take care of us. If we do then we feel guilty! Motherhood anxiety is real and more common than most of us believe. I’ve been there, I’ve struggled with the mom guilt and anxieties. Let me help you navigate this new journey. Message me or click on my website link above to schedule a new appointment.

It’s been a while so I wanted to reintroduce myself. My name is Krystle Steeley I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I will start with the non-professional description of who I am. I am a person who absolutely loves people. I was the child growing up who made friends everywhere. I am an individual who loves to talk and listen. I am not perfect, and I tend to learn as much from my clients as they do from me. I am human, I make mistakes, I make bad choices, I worry, I get angry, I cry, I struggle with anxiety, I love fiercely, I forgive, I nurture, and like you I live one day at a time(most of the time). I am a mother, a wife, a friend, a therapist, a sister, an auntie, and a dream chaser.

Professionally I love love love the work that I do. I have worked for an amazing non-profit agency for the last 4 years and I love every minute of it. This amazing work that I got to do lead my heart to wanting to expand. I followed my heart and I started my own private practice. I want to be me, I want to be real, and I want my clients to feel safe when in my presence. So I have decided that you all will unapologetically get the real Krystle. This means you will get a professional who is genuine, honest, non-judgmental, and a safe place for you to be the real you as well.

It’s official starting June 1st I’ll be back to seeing clients in person at my brand new office space. As a professional and a human I feel like we all need to have face to face contact. Online is great (and I’ll still be offering it) but nothing is more personal than sitting with someone, talking, exploring, laughing, processing, and sometimes just being. I’m so excited for this new adventure. Come join me!

If you have a few minutes to read my new blog please do. No one prepares someone for the loss of a significant person in your life. When it happens it makes your world stop. It feels empty while everyone around you seems to be moving on and being normal. I hope that my words and experience can help someone else feel less alone in this stage. https://www.therapywithk.com/post/the-things-i-learned-from-losing-my-mother

To all the moms whether you are a new mom or a seasoned mom with multiple, listen to me loudly, It is okay......... to not be okay.

It is okay to be overwhelmed, terrified, sleep-deprived, lonely, unsure, and confused. All of these emotions are valid. It is okay to say out loud “I am not okay”. You are not alone.

I know first hand what it is like to not ask for help. I know what it is like to hide the real feelings because society says I should be able to handle all the things.

Mama, it is okay to ask for help.
