Hello! I wanted to post a reminder here on the grid that I do also offer virtual support as an option for those outside of my service area and now as an alternative solution during this time that I will not be accepting in person birth support.

Birth planning sessions and placenta encapsulation are also going to remain available! I’m just taking a step back from on call birth support once my current clients have been taken care of!

If you have any questions about my offerings and what will be available please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Hello everyone!

I wanted to post a little update that I am FULL for fall/winter 2024 and will be taking a break from in person birth support in 2025.

I will still be offering birth planning sessions, occasional postpartum support, and placenta encapsulation but my schedule this coming year is not going to be very accommodating for on call in person support.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, I am hoping to reduce the number of inquiries I get that I will unfortunately have to turn down by posting this ahead of time.

I will update if anything changes and my schedule can be opened back up.

Thank you for your understanding! ❤️

**This does not apply to anyone who I have already spoken to/ met with about a 2025 birth **

Todays word of the day is ‘precipitous’ in honor of a sweet baby who made his mama wait until the night before a 41 week induction just to be born at lightning speed!

Labor and Birth Stages:

• Labor(early/active/transition)
• Birth of baby
• Birth of placenta

On average, each stage of labor can last anywhere from 2-24 hours.

• Early labor averaging 12-24 hours as the longest phase
• Transition averaging 2 hours or less and the most intense

So, you can imagine how confusing it might be to expect time to labor and to practice all the pain management techniques we work through together in pregnancy, only for baby to decide to be born NOW!

• Trust your intuition, listen to your body
• Trust in your ability to birth your baby
• Release the fear and tension you’re holding in your body. Work with labor, not against it.

• Update •

When I opened for business last year I wanted to do my very best to honor Juliette’s memory through my work but supporting parents on the way to a happy ending is only a part of what that looks like for me.

We suffered a tremendous loss in Juliette’s death and I’ve spent the last 3 years working on my own healing and acceptance and it was my goal to be trained in bereavement support so that I could support families experiencing a loss or a diagnosis that is incompatible with life.

I’ve spent a lot of very late nights working through some extremely difficult and emotional reading, photography, and video content focusing on miscarriage and stillbirth.

It’s my hope to support families experiencing pregnancy loss in the most sincere and informed way possible.

This week I finally received my credentials as a Certified StillbirthDay Birth and Bereavement Doula.

I hope to find a community of support as I aim to ‘ Light the Way’ for these families.

The first Sunday in May is Bereaved Mother’s Day.

On this day we remember the Mother who doesn’t get the cards and the homemade crafts and doesn’t hear the pitter patter of tiny feet down the hall bringing her breakfast in bed.

We remember that she became a mother when she learned of her baby growing in her womb and that her motherhood didn’t end because her baby died.

Be kind, there are mothers all around some just have to carry their children in their hearts.

I will remember with you, always.
