As we close out the month of May, we’re reflecting on what it truly means to be a leader.
This month, our students learned that leadership isn’t about being the loudest, strongest, or most popular person in the room. Leadership is shown through everyday choices.
Leaders go first, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Leaders help others and make their team stronger.
Leaders lead by example.
Leaders stay disciplined and follow through.
Leaders communicate clearly and listen well.
Leaders control their attitude and effort.
Leaders take responsibility for their actions.
And leaders do hard things, even when they don’t feel easy.
Our hope is that these lessons don’t stay in our program but go with our students into their homes, schools, teams, friendships, and communities. The world needs young leaders who are willing to step up, serve others, and make a positive difference.
We’re proud of the growth we’ve seen this month and excited to watch these young leaders continue to shine.
