Sierra Vista Child & Family Services is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency that has helped children and families in crisis in California’s Central Valley. We have demonstrated the stability, reliability, and commitment necessary to tackle the challenging problems that emerge by staying on the cutting edge of service delivery. We offer quality programs that meet the growing needs of thousands of people of all ages, Sierra Vista is a place of hope and healing in the Central Valley. Our goal is to provide access to quality programs and services that make a difference to a child, their family, and the entire community.

Last call to register for our FREE Youth Mental Health First Aid Training on October 29, 2025, and Adult Mental Health First Aid on October 30, 2025. Our trainings will teach you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use.

Thanks to the support of a SAMHSA grant, we are providing these courses designed for teachers, school staff, police officers, hospital staff, parents, coaches, higher education staff, and anyone who wants to make a positive impact in their community.

Today is World Mental Health Day. Mental health is a part of all of us, yet millions of people still face barriers to getting help. In the U.S. alone, nearly 30 million people don’t have access to the mental health and substance use care they need. These aren’t just numbers; they are our neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family. The impact reaches far beyond individuals, touching our workplaces, schools, and communities.

Our Story

Sierra Vista Child & Family Services has been helping abused, neglected and emotionally disturbed children and families in crisis in California’s Central Valley since 1972. We do this through a series of integrated programs that include mental health services, early childhood services, special education, therapeutic residential treatment, adoption, foster care, clinical and family support in homes and schools, perinatal substance abuse treatment and community counseling. Our goal is to provide access to quality programs and services that make a difference to a child, their family, and the entire community.
