In March, members of DAV Chapter 26 attended the Celtic fair, where they visited Valerie's booth, situated two tables down. Valerie requested that veterans sign her book, noting their military branch. She mentioned that she creates handmade quilts for veterans. I received a call today informing me that my quilt was ready, and Valerie kindly drove from Stockton to deliver it. Juan and I are truly blessed to have met Valerie, who shared stories of her father and husband, both of whom served in the military.
