I want to express my deepest gratitude to all our Veterans, you are the heart of our work and the reason we strive to make a difference every day. Thank you to my board members and supporters of Veterans In Action, your dedication makes our mission possible.
With 882 Veterans in Riverbank, this proclamation is an important step toward acknowledging their valuable contributions and fostering year-round involvement. Special thanks to City Council Member Rachel Hernandez, who worked diligently with us behind the scenes to truly understand Veterans, our culture, and what’s working and not working for us. Her efforts were instrumental in making this proclamation happen. I also want to thank Mayor O’Brien and the City Council for backing this initiative and officially recognizing November as Veterans and Military Families Month in Riverbank.
As we build this relationship, both the Veterans and the community will grow together. By fostering this connection, we not only support Veterans in their reintegration but also create opportunities for them to continue serving, contributing, and making Riverbank an even better place. Great things are ahead as we work hand in hand.
