The Conference, hosted by the Girls Advisory Council, brought together young girls from across our community for a day of empowerment, learning, and connection. Presented by Center for Human Services in partnership with the conference created a supportive space where girls could build confidence, learn about their strengths, and connect with local resources in Stanislaus County.

We were honored to hear from keynote speaker Dr. Vickie Trask, who shared her powerful journey of resilience and the life-changing impact education can have.

Participants also attended breakout sessions focused on well-being, safety, and community support: led a calming sound bath experience, introducing mindfulness and relaxation techniques to help girls feel grounded and connected to their inner strength. Justice Director Michelle Camacho shared her personal story with the girls while educating them about the realities of human trafficking, warning signs to look for, and how to stay safe.Community Resource Tables gave attendees the opportunity to connect with local Stanislaus County organizations offering support for mental health, housing, education, and more.

Special thanks to Michael’s Pizza and for providing lunch and refreshing drinks for the day.
