What a night! Thank you, United Way of Stanislaus County and Women United, for inviting me to keynote Power of the Purse on November 5. I left inspired by the generosity and heart of the community at the event.

I was grateful to share my journey and my motivation to bring access to advanced diabetes care home to the Central Valley.

My message was simple: small steps change lives - those small health steps.

United Way is making a huge difference in our community with access to "Call 211 for support" that gives community access to many resources.

Grateful for everyone who showed up, gave, and pledged to volunteer. Together, we can make healthier choices easier for every family in the Central Valley.

Want to help?

• Volunteer or give through United Way Stanislaus.
• Pick one habit this week: 10-minute walk after dinner or swap one soda for water.
