Recently, I had a participant attempt to insert herself into my leadership during a retreat I hosted.
When that didn’t work, she tried to undermine me.
When that didn’t work, she demanded a full refund — after I had already paid for her meals, lodging, and held space for hours on end.
It was shocking, destabilizing (emotionally and financially)… and clarifying.
I write this story, not to complain, not for pity, but to create solidarity.
This happens more often than we hear about when women step into leadership.
Because this is what real feminine leadership requires today:
Holding your ground without collapsing into defensiveness
Discernment between someone seeking healing and someone seeking power
Knowing when to stand firm and when to release
Recognizing female envy + disruption when it appears
Staying rooted in integrity even when you’re threatened
This experience threatened to break me — but instead, it initiated me. 🔥
And it showed me why my next program needs to be focussed on leadership.
