The Fort Mojave Vocational Rehabilitation Department partnered with the FMIHC, FMBHS, AZ DES, FMIT PR as well as the FMIT Wellness Center to put on the disability awareness conference as well as the Mojave Glow Run/Walk. The conference provided educational information on what FMVR provides to consumers who are eligible to receive employment-based services to assist them in maintaining and or obtaining competitive employment. We had the FMIT Wellness Center Director provide a presentation on the status of the facility and two community members spoke on how their health has improved due to them utilizing the facility. The conference ended with the FMIHC Special Diabetes Program for American Indian, coordinator presenting on Diabetes, the services that are provided to members who are diagnosed and how they can work together to improve their health through diet, exercise and taking the prescribed medication.
