Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care

Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care We Bring You Refuge. The hospice team works to make the patient comfortable while relieving their symptoms and pain for the entire length of the illness.

When given the news of a life-limiting illness, we have the choice of continuing to live with dignity, while remaining pain and symptom free. We are able to achieve this in the comfort of our own home (or, indeed, anywhere else that we call home) surrounded by those we love, those who mean the most to us. When medical care cannot offer a cure, hospice provides care, comfort and support for persons with life-limiting conditions as well as their families. At Oasis Hospice, we believe in affirming life and exist as a refuge for our patients and their families. We aim to improve the quality of life for our patients as they deal with life-limiting illnesses.

October Grantee Spotlight đź’š

We are once again here to highlight a story reflecting the heart of our mission.

Earlier this year, the Oasis Foundation provided emergency transportation assistance to ensure a daughter could be by her mother’s side during a critical time. We believe being present for loved ones is not just meaningful, it is essential.

Pictured are three generations: a grandmother, mother, and daughter. A powerful reminder of why our work exists — to remove barriers and uplift families during life’s most fragile moments.

Coming up next!
November, Thanksgiving Meals Initiative
December, Christmas Gifts Initiative

Thank you to our supporters, our partners, and our community. Together, we are affirming life, strengthening families, and bringing comfort when it matters most.

Honoring Those Who Serve

Today, we pause and celebrate the incredible people whose dedication and work ethic strengthen us all. Here in Flossmoor, Chicagoland, and indeed across our region. We think of our partners across Cook, DuPage, Will and beyond.

From local businesses that donate floral arrangements, to volunteers that help ease administrative loads. Nurses and firemen, teachers and construction workers, police officers and delivery drivers; the core civil servants whose work often goes without applause.

Here at Oasis, to our team; the nurses, aides, chaplains, volunteers, and staff that embody what this day is all about. And to members of the Homewood-Flossmoor family that make our community home; from public servants to journalists, the dignity and commitment you display is not without impact.

So today, we pause. Honoring each worker in our neighborhoods, our cities, and across our country. Thank you for the heart you bring to your work each day.

We are inspired by the resilience of those we serve, and hope in turn to show that same level of commitment to those who help bring us all refuge.

Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and healthy Labor Day.

“Most families say the same thing after hospice: I wish we had known sooner.”

Incredibly grateful to army veteran and founder of the Shero Coffee Club, Melissa Farmer Hill, for hosting some members of our team this week.

In the most recent stream of Shero Coffee Chat, she was joined by Oasis Hospice leaders Katrina Agnew (COO) and Jessica Gadomski (VC) to share insights into the heart of hospice and palliative care.

It’s a holistic and intentional yet passion-filled half hour of great information; helping people understand the heart of hospice. Bringing family-centered support and care into focus, while offering dignity and comfort to those we serve during life’s most difficult moments.

Hospice is not about giving up — it is about choosing life.

Happy Independence Day from all of us at Oasis!

As a business founded by immigrants, we hold deep respect for this country and the opportunities it has afforded our family—a testament to the fact that God's grace is sufficient.

Today, we celebrate the values that shape this nation: freedom, resilience, and unity. We also honor those who have fought—and continue to fight—for liberty in all its forms.

"Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."
— 2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV)

Wishing you a joyful, safe, and meaningful July 4th holiday.

From all of us at Oasis and the House of Goshen, thank you for letting us serve your incredible community.

This CNA Week, we’re honored to recognize the unwavering dedication, compassion, and strength of our Certified Nursing Assistants — the hands and hearts behind hospice care. 💚

Recently, we had the privilege of hosting Aishling Dalton-Kelly, President & CEO of Aishling Care Academy, who led a powerful conversation on the psychological impacts of client deaths on care workers.

Her words reminded us: caregiving takes heart—and can take a toll.

We’re proud to support our team not just in their work, but in their well-being. Our CNAs are the foundation of compassionate, person-centered care—and we celebrate them not just this week, but all year long.

This Father’s Day, we pause to celebrate and remember the fathers who shaped our lives — and to thank the families who allow us to walk with them in times of need.

Meryl, a daughter of one of our recent patients, shared:

“Even though my dad wasn’t with them long, Oasis was wonderful... They worked not just with my dad, but with the whole family.”

That’s what we strive for: care rooted in trust, compassion, and connection.

Have a blessed Fathers Day, from the entire team here at Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care
