Sooooo nice to be back in the Hawaiian sun! ☀️🏝️

You’re gonna want to hit SAVE — these tips work!

Try these three EASY, yet INTENTIONAL ways to reconnect more fully with your spouse. They work!

There is neuroscience behind all three:

▪️Eye gazing while kissing increases dopamine for deeper bonding.

▪️Full bodied, warm hugging for a minimum of 20 seconds releases oxytocin in the brain, important for emotional connection.

▪️Showering together can reduce stress, calm the nervous system, and strengthen intimacy through increased physical closeness.

🤯 None of these actions takes much time, but each action can dramatically improve your relationship.

Comment an easy and intentional tip you use!

1. Create a Romantic Atmosphere — Set the mood with candlelight, soft music, or a cozy setting that encourages closeness.

2. Compliment Your Partner — Genuine compliments about their efforts can boost their confidence and set a positive tone.

3. Simple Physical Touch — Small gestures like holding hands, hugging, or cuddling to build physical intimacy.

4. Flirt! —,Engage in playful teasing or flirtation to reignite the spark between you. Send fun texts!

5. Surprise Date Night — Plan a spontaneous date night that prioritizes connection and fun, which can lead to intimacy. Surprise your spouse with him/her in mind!

6. Talk About Desires — Openly communicate your desires and encourage your partner to share theirs, creating a more comfortable environment for sharing.

7. Service — What large or small acts of kindness or service to show appreciation and love would mean the world to your spouse? Get busy!

8. Time — PUT DOWN YOUR PHONE! Spend uninterrupted time together, focusing solely on each other to strengthen your emotional bond.

9. Dress to Impress — Put some effort into your appearance, which can be enticing and show your partner that you care.

10. Favorite Treat — Bring your spouse a favorite drink, treat, or snack. Tell them that you were thinking of them.

Remember, there is risk involved with initiating — but I believe most marriage relationships are worth the risk.

TRUE STORY that it’s in the LITTLE THINGS!

This simple question, asked every week for the past 6-7 weeks, has changed a client’s marriage.

I challenged Bob (names have been changed) to look his wife, Cindy, in the eyes each Sunday afternoon and ask her this simple question. Whatever her answer, he committed to doing his best to fulfill her request throughout the upcoming week.

Yesterday, when meeting with this couple, Cindy had tears streaming down her checks as she described her feelings of being seen and heard and loved. It was so tender.

What were her requests? Very simple actually.

▪️Will you please put your phone away before coming to bed?
▪️Can you help our son with his math homework at night?
▪️ I would love it if you could hug me when you get home from work each day.

Little things matter!

I would love to hear your experiences!

Over the years, with the demands of family and career weighing heavily upon us, Jeff and I have often focused intensely on our responsibilities, sometimes at the expense of having fun together. More often than not, life felt like work!

I regret not making time for play! My son frequently encouraged me to relax and enjoy more, yet I realize now that I had forgotten how to be playful.

One of the most significant lessons we are learning while living in Hawaii is the importance of playing together every day. As a result, our relationship has been revitalized with such positive energy—it feels as though we’ve returned to that early stage of our marriage!

Take our advice: prioritize playfulness in your relationship. Your marriage will flourish!
