Sunny Creations Child Development

Sunny Creations Child Development A child development program for kiddos ages 1-5 to learn in a nurturing environment through experience, exploration, and creativity. My name is Ms.

Kira and not only am the Director of Sunny Creations Child Development but also the main one you will see working with your kiddos. I hold a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and Family Studies from Southern Oregon University and have been working with kids since middle school. I have worked as a Teaching Associate in a Kindergarten classroom, I have been a Substitute, worked as an aide in gr

ades preschool through third, I have been a one-on-one aid for special needs and I have been the Vice President on a school board. Needless to say, I love working with kids! I have two amazing kiddos myself that I love to watch and help grow into the humans they are today. I love to bring nature indoors and find it important that kiddos get the chance to get dirty and explore the world that they have been given. My philosophy for Sunny Creations Child Development is to cultivate a love for learning through hands on experiences, peer interaction, small class sizes, exploration and imagination. We want to promote the connection between home and school for your three and four year olds. Kiddos have a voice and we want it to be used in a constructive way creating their learning environment. This is the first steps of the learning journey and we want to grow the inquisitive minds of these young kiddos. I can’t wait to meet everyone and help them through this journey of a life!

Thanks to the generosity and support from our recent auction, our classroom is about to become a whole new world of building, creating, and imagining. With so many exciting new additions to explore, we cannot wait to watch the kiddos dream up towering creations, work together on big ideas, and turn simple blocks into castles, cities, obstacle courses, and everything in between. The magic that comes from a child’s imagination is always incredible to watch, and we are so excited for all the adventures ahead.

*The art supplies is still coming, this loot was because we brought in above and beyond 🙌🏼

Teacher Appreciation Week is here and it feels only right to pause and recognize the heart, patience, and dedication that teachers bring every single day.

To all the educators out there, thank you for showing up even on the hard days, for pouring into little minds, and for creating spaces where children feel safe, seen, and inspired to grow. The impact you make goes far beyond the classroom and often lasts a lifetime.

Your work matters, your effort is seen, and the difference you make in each child’s life is something truly special. We are so grateful for you, today and always 💛

For the month of April, our sensory bin was filled with real dirt and construction vehicles. It quickly became a classroom favorite, well loved, well used, and full of imagination. While we are a little sad to see it go, we are excited to introduce something new for the next month.

Sensory bins are more than just fun. They are powerful learning tools for young children. They support fine motor development as kids scoop, pour, dig, and move materials around. They also encourage creativity and imaginative play, language development through storytelling and conversation, and early social skills like sharing space and working together.

This particular dirt and construction themed bin offered some unique benefits. The real dirt provided a rich tactile experience, helping children explore different textures and engage their senses in a meaningful way. The construction vehicles inspired pretend play, allowing kids to create their own work sites, problem solve, and build narratives. It also introduced early STEM concepts like cause and effect, spatial awareness, and basic engineering ideas as they pushed, lifted, and moved dirt from place to place.

Overall, this bin gave the kiddos a chance to get a little messy, think creatively, and learn through hands on exploration.
