Look at our little ones working on sitting. Did you know that working on sitting is a critical developmental milestone? It helps build core strength, neck stability and balance. Sitting improves visual, spatial, and cognitive processing, while also boosting language development through increased interaction with caregivers.

Today during circle time, our friends practiced identifying different parts of their bodies, such as their noses and feet. This activity helps support body awareness, vocabulary development, and early science skills as children begin to understand how their bodies work.

We had visitors come to check our fire alarms, which provided a meaningful, real-life learning experience. We talked about fire safety and what to do if we hear a fire alarm, helping children build awareness of safety procedures and develop listening and comprehension skills.

During art time, the children painted their own fire pictures while continuing our discussion. This allowed them to express their understanding creatively while also strengthening fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Today we made pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies. Toddlers making cookies offers numerous benefits, including developing fine motor skills through mixing and pouring, enhancing language and math skills by following recipes and counting, and building confidence and independence. It also provides sensory experiences, promotes social skills like sharing, and can encourage healthier eating habits.
