We went from slow paced to fast paced and erratic as Mercury moved into their home sign of Gemini.

Mercury is a sign of the mundane, with the biggest influence on our daily motions and communications.

Curiosity, increased communication, gossip and delivering the goods are hot on the plate with Mercury in Gemini. Communication with close friends and relatives and running errands are much more active during this quality of time and with the sun in gemini, we fully enjoy and thrive in it.

As mercury moves through the sign of Gemini over the next 2.5 weeks they will makes aspect with Saturn (today 6.15.23) bringing more serious, disciplined and sober minded thinking and communication and the need to either be or deal with authority in one’s motions.

On June 27th, Mercury wraps up their time at home and moves into the sign of Cancer bringing our mental faculties a more emotional and cautious tone.

Mars gears up in Leo on 5.20.23, time to fight for what we love.

Coincidentally enough, it is also Armed Forces Day.. as if that isn’t screaming Mars in Leo energy.

Mars, the planet of energy and drive enters the sign of radiance and light for a truly heating and energizing experience geared toward our love, our pride and our sense of creativity.

Mars is a hot planet and Leo is a hot sign so this is the tip off of the “relentlessly hot summer” the 2023 Farmers Almanac has noted.

In medical astrology, Mars corresponds with heat, energy and inflammation.
Leo rules the heart, circulation and the process of digestion.

All of this heat will surely speed up our digestion and circulation.. stay cool and be extra vigilant in staying hydrated during this quality of time.

Ta**us season starts strong with eclipse season, sun square pluto, mercury retrograde and now forceful mars in emotional cancer makes a potentially harmonious aspect to spontaneous uranus in stubborn ta**us.

This sextile will make aspect at the 18th degree of each sign. The Sabian Symbols for Cancer and Ta**us 19 speak of new land emerging and the successful marriage/integration of this new land with the currently established cultures and rituals of society.

The New Moon and associated
Solar Eclipse takes place on 4.20.23 at
12:13am EST (4.19.23 @ 11:13pm CT) on the
29th degree of Aries making this the second new moon of Aries season.. a rare occasion indeed.
The Sabian Symbol for the new moon is
Aries 30-“A duck pond and its brood.” -Dane Rudhyar, and speaks of a time of coming into competence with ourselves.
Deep down we all know we have a bigger purpose to fulfill but the drive to fulfill that purpose will be in vain less we finally integrate with and get to know our animal selves (our body and primitive needs and desires to cultivate it in a way that allows

This new way of being is here to eclipse the old and perhaps you have already been feeling the purge of old unaligned energy since the Aquarius ther moon passed over Pluto forming a squareabian to the Sun that will exact when he reaches O° Ta**us just moments following the new moon.

The energy may have felt near hopeless for a moment, but we are already experiencing a glimpse of the potential to come and feel hopeful in our paths forward. Ever since Venus entered pisces, the quality and value in good service and product has been hidden. Our common escape methods via quick foods, convenience, etc just isn’t serving up what we hope for. The responsibility in Pisces is to seek the quality of the sea among lakes of trash or get taken with the toxicity of what seems “easier” to get.

Happy New Moon!

With the Moon in Ta**us and Mars in Cancer the drive for creature comforts has been REAL, y’all!

The New Moon went exact yesterday, May 11, 2021 at 1:00pm EST.
In Tropical the New Moon landed at 21° Ta**us 17’.
In Sidereal she landed at 24° Aries 8’.

New Moons are a down time for rest and renewal, around new moons most people feel tired and moody. No, it’s not just you this week.

As always, I read the Sabians for both Tropical and Sidereal to get a wider perspective of what is going on. On the mundane we act out the tropical while in the bigger picture, the lesson we are learning, comes through in the Sidereal positions.

The Sabians Read:

Sidereal: ARIES 25 - A DOUBLE PROMISE REVEALS ITS INNER AND OUTER MEANINGS

This symbol speaks of moments and opportunities that may be proving to be more than it seemed worth at the time. Or, it can also be speaking of the rewards of determination and focus, but, what exactly are these rewards bringing? I heard a story once of a person praying to not have to go in to work one day.. she ended up falling ill. On the one side she didn’t have to go in to work, on the other, she wasn’t able to really enjoy that day off since she now had to be accountable to her health.

Happy Full Moon! The Full Moon perfected last night, 4.26.21 at about 11:32 EST in Western Scorpio and Sidereal Libra.

The Full Moon is a time of awakening, of full awareness being brought to whatever situations or karmas are playing out in our lives as well as whatever ideals we are manifesting at this time in the cycle.

As some know by now I used both Western and Sidereal together to see a holistic picture of the circumstances manifesting at this time from the mundane activities to the wisdom being learned overall.

I can give you keywords, like, Scorpio is intense and Ta**us is stubborn, so, brace yourself... but what is it all trying to say, Basil? Why should I?
Well, in Sidereal, the positions are Libra and Aries.. Libra is balancing and Aries is self-realizing and independent.
Who needs conflict when the wisdom is right there? Do what is necessary to maintain balance of *oneself* in the motions and do not be too stubborn to depend on the circumstances around you to do as you want it to!

Now on to Sabians.. Sabian Symbols are deeper readings on each of the 360° of the Zodiac.
When a cosmic event or aspect is in question, Sabians can give us further insight to the conversation going on between the bodies in question to ultimately provide one with solid wisdom to handle the shifts most appropriately for oneself. It also reminds us that we are not alone.. although situations, ideals and circumstances may seem completely different, in the big cosmic picture we are *all* being influenced to learn the same lessons. Not to mention, that beautiful reflection on the water (see western scorpio 8.) could still be hiding a challenge or two, requiring our energy to pass through. We will be foolish to over extert ourselves over falsely placed confidence before we arrive to our destination.
