Many new agers will say, “I love Jesus! I work with him.” They will imply they are Christian, all the while practicing reiki energy, yoga, consulting psychics, using astrology and tarot, and other unbiblical abominations (like I used to do before I was saved).

The new age teaches the heresy that Jesus was a created human who was a gifted teacher who learned how to perform miracles while he was in India (or the Essenes, depending upon which new age teacher you listen to) during his “lost years” between age 12 and 30. The new age denies the crucifixion, and says that Jesus died a natural death and is now an “ascended master.”

They believe that “ascended master Jesus” (sometimes called Sananda because the name Jesus triggers them) is “working with” archangels and Buddhist and Hindu deities to help new agers to heal and be empowered.

Many new agers will tell you that they “met” the ascended master Jesus during a new age experience such as reiki, massage therapy, chakra clearing, or eastern meditation.

In reality, these spirits are demons masquerading as “ascended masters.” The “ascended master Jesus” is the prophesied false Christ. He leads people away from the true Christ and the Bible, and leads them into destruction and hell.

Turn away from the new age while there’s still time. Throw away or burn your new age books, cards, and paraphernalia. Repent and ask Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior, and read your Bible daily so you won’t be deceived.
