DEAR VALUED PATIENTS,
STARTING FRIDAY, MAY 8 WE WILL BE RESUMING ROUTINE AND MEDICAL EYECARE.
This is per recommendations of the CDC, the American Academy of Optometry and the American
Academy of Ophthalmology that we resume seeing patients for their routine and medical eye care.
As you know, COVID-19 is a respiratory virus that can spread from person-to-person with or without
symptoms. To prevent the spread and keep our patients and staff safe, we have implemented the
following procedures:
Patients:
● Please limit the number of family members you bring to your appointment. Please have
drivers/family members wait in the car whenever possible.
● Anyone who enters the office MUST wear a mask that completely covers their mouth and nose.
You will be asked to reschedule your appointment if you do not have a mask.
● Please call from your car when you arrive at our office. We will check you in from your car,
verify insurance information, and collect co-pays. After the mobile check-in, someone will
direct you to an entrance. Depending on the office location, this may not be the main entrance.
You will have your temperature taken and hands sanitized.
● During your time in our office, please follow staff member instructions as they direct you
where to stand, sit, or wait in order to best maintain social distancing.
● Please reschedule your appointment if you have been in contact with someone known to have
COVID-19 in the past two weeks- even if you have no symptoms.
● Please reschedule your appointment if you currently have a respiratory illness, fever and /or
cough.
● We are working hard to serve our patients, and for the time being, we must operate with a
somewhat limited schedule and reduced staff. Please be patient if you have a short wait to be
seen.
Staff:
● All staff members will have their temperature taken at the beginning of every shift.
● All staff members MUST wear a mask.
● All staff will continue washing their hands and sanitizing rooms, equipment, and frames
between patients as well as the waiting area.
Thank you for your help and understanding as well all work together to stay as safe as possible during
this time.
Sincerely,
The Doctors and Staff of Optometric Care.
