Our Health Occupations students had an amazing college tour at Missouri State University! 🎓🐻
We explored the dorm rooms and dining hall, but the highlight was getting an up-close look at the health science buildings—such an inspiring experience for our future healthcare professionals.

We were also lucky enough to celebrate CRNA Week in the best way possible! 🩺✨ Current CRNA students took time to work with our students and help them learn how to intubate patients prior to surgery, giving them valuable hands-on exposure to this incredible career path.

Thank you, Missouri State University, for an unforgettable day and for investing in the future of healthcare! 💛

Level 2 students had an incredible shadowing experience today at Cox South Springfield! 🏥
They were able to see babies being born, observe amazing surgeries, experience critical care units, and so much more.
In Level 2, our goal is for students to narrow down what truly interests them and spend time shadowing and exploring the departments they were first introduced to in Level 1. Experiences like this help them make informed decisions about their future in healthcare! 💙

SRTC Health Occupations students had an amazing day job shadowing at Mercy! 🚑✨ They explored the ER, NICU, Labor & Delivery, Radiology and more—such incredible job shadowing experiences.
We ran into two of our former students: Sarah Gunn, now the Neurology/Stroke Center Charge RN, and Lexie Jones, PCT! So proud to see them thriving in their careers. 💙
And to top it off… we even had a surprise visit from the Grinch! 💚😂

✨ Coming out of this Thanksgiving season, Health Occ 2 has so much to be thankful for✨

We are especially grateful for all the amazing volunteers who joined us for our first Family & Friends Stick Day. Thanks to your support, our students are one step closer to reaching their goal of completing 30 venipuncture sticks.

We had over 40 volunteers show up to help—what an incredible turnout! Your time, trust, and willingness to support our students mean so much.

💉 Health Occ 2 Takes on Clinicals! 🩺
Health Occupations 2 is back and hitting the ground running! 🚀

Today marked our students’ first day of clinicals, where they put their CNA skills from Health Occ 1 into action in the hospital setting. They’re not just refreshing what they’ve learned — they’re leveling up!

From performing lab sticks with butterfly needles and using multiple sample needles to practicing their EKG skills, our students are gaining hands-on experience that will strengthen their confidence and their resumes. 👏

We’re so proud of their dedication and can’t wait to see all they’ll accomplish this year! 🌟
