BALANCED BODIES STUDIOS offers Pilates, Fitness, and Yoga in both a private and semi-private environment. You can train privately or semi-privately in Pilates, Fitness, or Yoga. There is also a schedule of classes in Pilates and Yoga. Classes can be attended by dropping in or you may sign up in advance. The Studio is proud to present specialty workshops and presentations which cover a myriad of health and wellness topics. Specifically, the Studio has a reputation for helping Survivors reintegrate themselves into a healthy lifestyle. Whether you are currently undergoing treatment or are post-treatment, cancer or any other medical issue, the staff at BBS has a special sensitivity, understanding, and training to help you. Balanced Bodies Personal Training has been working with clients for over ten years. It is our belief that exercise is for everyone and when working with a professional who understands "real life" challenges you can learn to integrate wellness into your current lifestyle. It is our goal to maintain a positive and caring approach to fitness; our model and our mission will not be diluted. We will continue to embrace the theory that everyone is as different as their thumbprint, therefore, each individual's needs must be met with a unique and customized approach to fitness. We are committed to sharing our knowledge through a journey which is meant to inspire confidence while teaching you to become stronger, increase your flexibility, become more physically stable, and overall, more fit; some of the components which lead to a more healthy lifestyle. You do not have to be fit or athletic to become involved. As a matter of fact, you don't have to have any experience at all. It is with tremendous passion and great pride that we feel that we can help you find your inner strength and bring it to the forefront of your physical self. Meet Christy Rak — a dedicated fitness professional, a life-long learner, and an accomplished instructor at Balanced Bodies Studio.

With over 30 years of experience in dance and fitness, Christy has contributed to various theater productions in the Tri-State area as a seasoned choreographer.

Off the stage, Christy promotes holistic well-being through personalized training and education.

She is a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach, a Level 1 Trainer, and holds several certifications including Hatha Yoga (200-hr), Therapeutic Yoga (180-hr), Balanced Body Barre, and Balanced Body Mat 1 Pilates.

Phyllis Zieky has been with Balanced Bodies Studio since 1999 — starting after spinal surgery and continuing through life’s ups and downs. Now at 83 years young, she’s proof that a commitment to your health and wellness pays dividends. 💖🏋️‍♀️

Despite facing a heart attack, a broken hip, and multiple surgeries since 2014, Phyllis continues to attend Pilates and yoga sessions, keeping her strong, mobile, and ready for adventures.

After trying a Pilates class led by Hilary in 2006, Sheila Lawrence, now 73, was hooked and has been improving her quality of life with Balanced Bodies Studio ever since.

Sheila has learned preventive techniques to address a lower back problem, has mastered push ups, planks, and wall seats, and has built upper body strength through weight training.

“One friend even commented that I was standing taller.”

Today, Sheila and her husband train remotely via Zoom with instructor — an “extremely convenient” training option — and look forward to their sessions every week.
