This week, Samaritan Counseling Center of Southern Wisconsin was honored to host a table at the Women United brunch through United Way of Dane County .

It was an inspiring morning spent celebrating leadership, community impact, and the power of women supporting women, along with some men too. Samaritan's Executive Director Angela Laufenberg, appreciated hearing Renee Moe speak and celebrating Karen Kallerud’s recognition alongside so many incredible community leaders and organizations.

We are grateful for opportunities like this to connect with others who are passionate about strengthening and supporting our community.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our table and helped make the event so meaningful! Especially Samaritan's Board member Sharon Mason-Boersma and our guest Christine Welcher from the Monona East Side Business Alliance.

💚 Mental Health Care Without Barriers 💚

This May for mental health awareness month, we are raising funds to help individuals and families in our community access the mental health counseling and support they deserve.

At Samaritan Counseling Center of Southern Wisconsin, we know that cost can sometimes prevent people from reaching out for help. Our goal is to help remove those barriers so more people can access care when they need it most.

If you are able, we would be so grateful for your support. And even if donating is not possible right now, sharing this campaign can make a huge difference in helping us reach more people.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post with your friends, family, workplaces, faith communities, and social networks 💚

Thank you for supporting mental health care access in our community.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Samaritan 💚

Today, we celebrate and honor mothers, caregivers, grandmothers, stepmothers, and all who nurture and support others with love and care.

We also recognize that Mother’s Day can bring many emotions. For some, today may feel joyful. For others, it may bring grief, loss, longing, complicated relationships, or reminders of difficult experiences.

Whatever this day looks like for you, we hope you take a moment to care for yourself with kindness and compassion.

You are not alone.

April is National Stress Awareness Month, observed since 1992 to bring attention to the causes and solutions for stress in our daily lives.

Stress can affect us in many ways, and it is a reminder to slow down, check in with yourself, and recognize when you may need support.

Take a moment to care for your well being, and know that you do not have to manage stress on your own 💚

April is Counseling Awareness Month 💚

This month is all about recognizing the powerful impact counseling has on individuals, families, and our community. Counseling plays a vital role in supporting mental health at every stage of life, and the work counselors do truly makes a difference every single day.

At Samaritan Counseling Center of Southern Wisconsin, we’re especially grateful for our incredible team of therapists who show up with compassion, expertise, and dedication to those we serve.

Please join us in celebrating and thanking our amazing counselors:
Dan Feaster, Sue Gruen, Jane McCauley, Matthew Rozzi, Ross Buttner, Janessa Peterson, and Jennifer Eklof.

Your work matters more than words can express. Thank you for the care, support, and hope you bring to our community. 💚

If you or someone you know could benefit from counseling, this is a great time to take that first step. Support is here.
