World Bipolar Day is observed on March 30, the birthday of Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. His creativity was paralleled with mental illness, and he was posthumously diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Bipolar disorder affects mood and can include episodes of depression and mania, impacting health, relationships, and daily life.

This day helps raise awareness and reduce stigma through education and shared understanding.

We support those living with bipolar disorder, along with their families and loved ones. You are not alone.

March is Social Worker Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the incredible impact Social Workers make every day. 💙

Social Workers are driven by a deep commitment to helping others navigate life’s challenges. Whether supporting individuals, couples, families, or entire communities, they provide care, guidance, and advocacy across a wide range of needs, including mental health, relationships, life transitions, and emotional wellbeing.

You will find Social Workers in many settings, including schools, hospitals, community organizations, and mental health clinics, like us here at Samaritan.

The need for Social Workers continues to grow, with hundreds of thousands serving across the United States and demand expected to rise in the coming years. This underscores how essential their work truly is.

This month, we are especially grateful for our own dedicated Social Workers who serve our community with compassion and expertise. Thank you, Dr. Dan Feaster, Sue Gruen, Janessa Peterson, and Jane McCauley. We appreciate all that you do!

International Boost Self-Esteem Month 🤩

This month is a great time to reflect on the importance of fostering our self-esteem and embracing our inner resilience.

Therapy plays a crucial role in enhancing self-esteem, but it goes beyond that. Therapy empowers us, fosters growth, and helps us uncover our inner strength. It involves acknowledging our value, accepting our vulnerabilities, and finding the bravery to confront life's obstacles. Therapy offers a safe environment to delve into our thoughts, emotions, and experiences, fostering deeper self-awareness and self-compassion.

Cheers to embracing our inner strength, nurturing our self-esteem, and supporting one another on our paths to growth and healing!
