We are thrilled to announce that our Resident of the Month for August is Sara! ⭐

Sara is well known among her family and friends for being very kind, compassionate, and an excellent cook. She was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Manson, Iowa. Sara grew up alongside her two brothers, Dave and Henry. She graduated from Spirit Lake and worked for the family’s construction business.

On May 25, 1974, Sara remarried the love of her life, Joe. The couple moved to Prairie du Chien, and they raised four children. For fun, they did a lot of boating on the Mississippi River and enjoyed camping.

Sara is now the proud grandmother of six grandchildren, one deceased, and six great-grandchildren. She has a talent for making everyone feel welcome and is an excellent singer and dancer! One of her favorite things about living at Garden View Place is chatting with residents and staff.

Thank you, Sara, for being a valued part of the Garden View Place community. We’re honored to celebrate you this month!

We are thrilled to announce that our Resident of the Month for August is Bob!

Bob is well known among his family and friends for his love of collecting and restoring International Harvester tractors and for always being ready to lend a helping hand to extended family. Born and raised on a farm near Allison, Iowa, Bob grew up alongside his one brother and two sisters.

On October 27, 1950, Bob married the love of his life, Jessie. Together they raised their son, Stan, and continued the family tradition of farming. Though times were often tough financially, their home was always full of warmth, love, and a strong work ethic.

Bob is now the proud grandfather of two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and he takes great pride in the family legacy he’s helped build. One of his favorite things about living at Garden View Place is spending time with family and visitors.

When asked what advice he’d share with others, Bob simply says, “Work hard, and be the best you can be.”

Thank you, Bob, for being such a valued and inspiring part of the Garden View Place community. We’re honored to celebrate you this month!♥️

We have big news!
This July marks the 20th anniversary of Garden View Place's opening! To celebrate, we fired up the grill and shared a delicious barbecue with our wonderful community. A huge thank you to all our residents, family members, team members, and friends who came out to make this milestone so special. Your presence, love, and laughter are what make Garden View feel like home. Here's to 20 years of memories—and to many more ahead. Cheers to the good times and great company! ☺️
