Sam was a beautiful young girl I loved like family. She struggled with self-esteem in ways I’ve known myself, and losing her at just 14 changed so many things forever.

Her story is a big part of why I fight so hard to remind women and girls that they matter. This month, I wrote a blog in her memory and included a link to her mother’s story — because her voice deserves to be heard, too.

I will never forget the terror of 9/11. We were glued to the TV, not knowing if more attacks were coming. Living in Pennsylvania, not far from the Somerset site, made it feel even closer to home. For years I had nightmares of planes and hiding behind buildings. It was traumatizing for so many of us, and for our country as a whole.

But even in that darkness, we found strength, resilience, and unity. 🇺🇸

Bath and Body Care products made with love in Pennsylvania

Hi my name is Tina Porter and I am the owner of The Bubblery Pittsburgh; I live in a very tiny suburb about an hour south of Pittsburgh. I am a wife and mother to seven children. Five are mine and two are my husbands. I started my company back in 2006. Having a large family and Two children with problem skin, I had a desire to create a more natural line of products. After many failed attempts I finally perfected my sugar scrub. After that I continued to formulate new products. As a cosmetologist that loves skin care, I wanted to design a exceptional skin care line loaded with the most potent, active ingredients and that is back bar worthy without all the chemicals. I believe all women should be able to have high quality skin care products without paying high end prices. I pride myself in using the most natural products I can find and try to use organic as much as possible. As a local small business owner I also try to buy as much as I can from my local business owners. Aside from my love of bath and body and my family of course, I love helping others and making women feel like they are special and loved.
