It has been the tradition of Monongahela Valley Hospital when the chairman of the Board of Directors steps down, a classroom in the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center is named in their honor. Earlier this month, the G-1 Classroom was dedicated to R. Carlyn Belczyk.

PHMV would like to thank Carlyn for her years of dedication to the hospital.

The Belle Vernon Area Lady Leps Soccer Team held their annual Pink Out fundraiser benefiting Penn Highlands Mon Valley Cancer patients.

For the second year in a row, the team “flocked” residents' yards with pink flamingos and then asked for donations to the PHMV Cancer Center in return for moving the flamingos to a different yard. The "flocking" took place throughout the month of October.

A basket raffle was also held at the annual Pink Out Varsity Soccer game.

The Lady Leps raised a record breaking $2,350 for the Cancer Center.
