I am a Reiki Master and have recently opened a Reiki Healing center here in Monroe. I have practiced Reiki for 18 years in her home and at work. After attaining my Master level in March of this year, I opened up a Reiki center on a part-time basis. I am a
vailable by appointment on Wednesdays and Fridays. A session is about 1 ½ hours and is $65.00. What is Reiki? Pronounced Ray’-key, it is a Japanese word that means Universal Life Energy. Through the noninvasive laying on of hands, healing energy flows from the practitioner’s hands to the client, relieving stress and activating the body’s natural ability to heal itself. The healing energy flows to where it is needed most and creates a sense of wellbeing by releasing blocked energies caused by stress. . Stress is the leading cause of many of our ailments. We are physical, mental, and spiritual beings and we are at our healthiest and happiest when all these aspects of ourselves are in balance. Reiki is not a religion, nor does it belong to any religious organization. Because the source of Reiki is God (Universal Life Energy), a practitioner is simply a channel for God’s healing energy. What is a session like? It’s best to come in comfortable clothes. You will be asked to leave your shoes at the door, so you may want to bring socks to wear. After a brief exchange of information, and your questions answered, you will lay down on your back, fully clothed, on a massage table. Pillows will be placed under your head and knees for comfort and a sheet or blanket is provided if you need one. Soft music will play while her hands are placed over your body beginning at your head. During the session you may fall asleep, or just relax. Some people feel a difference right away, a lightness and/or sense of well being, others notice changes later on. The healing will continue for a while after the session is over. I also incorporates the healing energy of quartz crystals and gemstones in her healing sessions. Quartz crystals/gemstones have been scientifically proven to have healing energies. When combined with Reiki, their effect is even greater. I have seen amazing results combining the crystals/gemstones and Reiki. It is your choice if you want me to incorporate the crystals/gemstones in your session. No extra cost is involved. It is important to note that Reiki does not replace your physician’s care, but will enhance your body’s healing ability. I am also able teach and initiate others to do Reiki. No special skills are required. Reiki and the quartz crystal/gemstones are safe, natural, holistic healing methods that bring about physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.
