The theme of today’s Aphasia group session was “Aphasia rocks!” Aphasia group members played jeopardy, answering questions about rock music history and aphasia facts while painting rocks! 🎸🤘🏻

Undergraduate students in the ULM SLP Program celebrated the beginning of a new semester with a Back to School/Welcome party a couple of weeks ago! Students skated, played games, and enjoyed getting to know each other outside of the classroom! Thank you to the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association at ULM for organizing and sponsoring this event!

Happy Juneteenth!

On this day in 1865, 900 days after the Emancipation Proclamation, word finally reached Galveston, Texas and the remaining enslaved were finally free. While today is a day of celebration, it has also become a day of reflection and education as we encourage deeper respect for the historical experiences and contributions of all Americans.

The University of Louisiana Monroe campus will be closed on Friday, June 20th in observance of Juneteenth.
