💜 In honor of World Sepsis Day, our teams brought education and excitement to the floors and units across Ochsner LSU Health with a round of Sepsis Jeopardy!

Staff tested their knowledge while enjoying sepsis-themed pens, sticky notes, and of course… candy 🍬.

Together, we’re raising awareness and empowering our teams to recognize and respond to sepsis quickly to save lives. 🌟

From little one to taking care of little ones 👶 In honor of Neonatal Nurses Week, some of our neonatal nurses shared with us the inspiration behind their career choice.

Tanisha Morris NICU, LPN shared:

"Becoming a neonatal nurse was an opportunity I stepped into on sheer faith. I worked in Pediatrics for the majority of my nursing career. When I learned of the newly created NICU LPN discharge coordinator position at Ochsner LSU, it sounded like the perfect position for me being that my background was in pediatric specialties. We know it's very difficult for families to have to leave their baby in the NICU with an unfamiliar family. I say family because the NICU instantly becomes an extended family. I love being able to teach new moms the basics of parenting. I have a true sense of accomplishment knowing I wholeheartedly help and support new parents. The gratitude received from parents is the most rewarding part on my job."

Join us in celebrating their compassion, expertise, and endless love for the tiniest members of our community during this Neonatal Nurses Week. 💙👏
