Ever Feel “Off” But Can’t Explain Why?

Let’s talk about the Emotions Wheel — a powerful tool to help you name what you're feeling.

Sometimes we say we’re "mad" or "sad" when, in reality, we're feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, or insecure. The emotions wheel helps break those big feelings into more specific ones so you can better understand your emotional experience and what you need.

Why it matters:
When you can name it, you can tame it.
Knowing exactly what you're feeling is the first step toward healing and healthy communication.

Tip: Try using the emotions wheel at the end of your day. Ask yourself, “What am I really feeling right now?” You might be surprised at the answer.

Feeling overwhelmed by anxious thoughts? Try this grounding technique: When a 'what if' pops into your mind, simply ask yourself, 'What is true right now?'

Focus on the facts instead of the fears to bring yourself back to the present moment.
Remember, anxiety often lives in the future, while calm resides in the now.

You’re human—which means some days are tough, and that’s okay.
Today, try giving yourself the same kindness you’d offer someone you care about. No pressure to be perfect—just be present.

Take a deep breath. Let go of the harsh self-talk.
You’re doing better than you think. And you deserve compassion, especially from yourself. 💛

Keep going. You’ve got this.

We wanted to take the time to shine a spotlight on one of our amazing therapists, Sara Sapp!

Sara has a heart full of compassion, a head full of insight, and a sense of humor that keeps us all smiling—even on the tough days. Whether she’s helping clients navigate life’s twists and turns or cracking a perfectly timed joke, Sara brings light and laughter to the healing process.

Fun facts? She’s obsessed with butterflies 🦋—symbols of growth, change, and new beginnings. It’s no surprise she’s drawn to the transformational power of therapy.
But plot twist: she’s also a huge horror movie fan! From psychological thrillers to jump-scare classics, Sara enjoys a good fright (and yes, she will psychoanalyze the villain by the second act).

We’re so lucky to have someone who can balance deep empathy with a quick wit. Sara reminds us that healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time—sometimes, it can come with laughter, a little weirdness, and a shared love of creepy movies.

We’re thrilled to shine a light on one of the heartbeats of our team — Nicole Cabello, a therapist who brings not only clinical expertise but also a whole lot of heart to every session.

With a deep passion for helping others navigate anxiety, trauma, and life transitions, Nicole believes in creating a safe, welcoming space where clients can be fully themselves.

But Nicole isn’t just an incredible therapist — she’s also a proud mom and wife who adores spending time with her family. When she’s not in the therapy room, you’ll probably find her in her backyard caring for her beloved chickens, taking care of her honey bees or enjoying a little retail therapy!

Her down-to-earth energy, empathy, and dedication make her a true gift to our practice and to every client she supports!

🌟 Therapist Spotlight: Dr. Christy Ticheli 🌟

Meet Christy, one of those rare souls who brings light and warmth into every room she enters—sometimes literally running into sessions with a big smile and boundless energy! Her compassion, presence, and deep commitment to her clients shine through in every interaction.

When she’s not in session, you might catch Christy cruising in her purple Jeep, Penelope—a vehicle as bold and joyful as she is. And if you look closely, you’ll probably find a few paw prints on the seat—evidence of her adorable pups, who are her constant companions and biggest fans.

At her core, Christy is all about connection. Her love for her family—both two- and four-legged—is what fuels her spirit and keeps her grounded in what matters most. That same love and intentionality show up in the care she offers each client.

Whether she’s helping clients navigate tough transitions or just holding space for a hard day, Christy brings heart, humor, and healing into everything she does.

We’re so grateful to have her on the team. 💜🐾

🌿 Taking Care of Your Mental Health 🌿

Mental health is just as important as physical health, and it's okay to take a step back and check in with yourself. Here are a few simple tips to help nurture your mind:

Practice Gratitude ✨
Take a moment each day to reflect on what you're grateful for. Even small things count!

Move Your Body 🏃‍♀️
Physical activity, even just a walk, can lift your mood and reduce stress.

Connect with Others 🤝
Whether it’s a phone call or a chat with a friend, staying connected helps combat loneliness.

Set Boundaries 🚧
Know your limits. Saying “no” when needed is an act of self-care, not selfishness.

Unplug 📵
Take a break from social media and screens. Your mind will thank you for it.

Be Kind to Yourself 💖
Don’t be too hard on yourself. Everyone has tough days, and it's okay to not be okay sometimes.

Remember, you are not alone. It’s okay to ask for help and take breaks when you need them. 💫

Take a deep breath… and be gentle with yourself today. 💙
