“There is no difference between self inquiry and meditation. Self inquiry means to discover the nature of the supreme consciousness, meditation means to apply that eternal existence-consciousness-bliss into our own self. Realization of the self does not mean to annihilate the universe, but to understand the universe and its true essence.”
Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati

October 20. Monday, 7:45 pm celebration music and bhajans with Deepak Kumar in MH.

Sri Laxmi is that divine glory where spirituality embraces prosperity and Cosmic energy embraces the Supreme. What manifests is a prosperity-showering golden-coloured woman sitting upon a lotus throne, symbolising beauty, fortune, fertility and spiritual liberation.
On October 21st at the auspicious hour of 7:45pm, Sri Laxmi will be invoked according to ancient sacred Sanskrit mantras.

All are welcome to bask in Her glory and to receive her grace of abundance.

Deepavali Celebration: Festival of Lights & Day of Lakshmi
Tue, Oct 21

Lakshmi, seated on a Lotus bloom,
Dispeller of all the want and gloom.
We chant your names in prayer,
For wealth, to attain and to share.
Bring fortune to homes, and peace to mind,
The truest riches that a heart can find.

Goddess Lakṣmī will be invoked in all her splendor in a celebration where spirituality embraces prosperity. During Diwali, the festival of lights, Mother Lakṣmī is worshipped, as described in the Purāṇas, the ancient Sanskrit texts. Please join us in the glorious setting of the Main House meditation room, where we will be graced by abundance.

Naren Budhakar was born in Pune city, a celebrated epicenter of Sanskrit in India, into a Brahmin family that valued knowledge above all endeavors. Naren’s grandfather was his very first Sanskrit teacher. Life has taken Naren in many directions, but clearly the sanskāras prevail: a science graduate by education and a musician by profession, he remains a student of Sanskrit with passion. Naren is co-director of the East-West School of Music at Ananda Ashram.
