Every intermediate school district has a PAC made up of parents of children with disabilities from local school districts within the ISD. The PAC gives advice and feedback on how the ISD provides special education programs and services. PACs are one way parents can have a positive impact on special education programs and policies.

📍 Monroe Community Health Update

We’re seeing an increase in reported measles cases in the Monroe area.

Measles is a highly contagious virus that spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Early symptoms can feel similar to a common cold and may include:

• Fever
• Cough
• Runny nose
• Red, watery eyes

A few days later, a red rash typically appears and spreads across the body.

Because measles spreads easily, it can move quickly through schools, daycare settings, and community spaces.

At Your Voice Speech Therapy, PLLC, we always prioritize the health and safety of our patients, families, and staff. We encourage awareness and staying informed as part of keeping our community strong.

GoFundMe has been set up to help the family of 10-year old Noah.

My brother’s family is facing the unimaginable loss of their 10-year-old son, Noah. Noah was a bright light in their lives—he loved Jesus, football, and music, and he found joy in writing his own songs. He was recently baptized and was so excited about giving his heart to Jesus. This tragedy has left the family heartbroken and struggling to cope with the sudden loss of such a special boy.

With both parents off work and three children to care for, the family is now facing a mountain of funeral, medical, and memorial costs, along with daily living expenses. Every bit of support will help ease their burden and allow them to focus on healing after this loss.
