My dear friend Ram Dass had a vast perspective on love. He would put a photograph on his altar of beings who were difficult to love, stating that until he could love them as much as his guru, his work wasn’t complete. It’s this kind of love that will stop the cycles of hate and separation to truly change the world. 💛

Trust what you can’t see. Move forward

despite the wobbly groundlessness

of I don’t know. Breathe, love, create, show-up

as you are, everyday—no matter what. Go

to where wild irises grow. Say thank you

for all of it, weeds

racks, sunbeams, that hand on your shoulder—

the forever throb of ache


it’s all

a doorway, a hand leading you back

to grace
