Depression is more common than many realize, and it often hides behind a smile. Even the smallest check-in can remind someone they are valued and not alone.

This , take a moment to send a supportive message to a friend or loved one who may be struggling. A few kind words can bring comfort on a hard day, and might mean more than you’ll ever know.

Remember: You don’t need the perfect words. What matters most is letting them know you care.

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Chris Brown, Director of Admissions 🌟

Christopher studied Early Childhood Education and Economics at Kennesaw State University and first embarked upon his career in Behavioral Health in 2014. After student teaching, Christopher found the only thing more rewarding was working in addiction recovery. After two years of direct client care, he moved to admissions and has been the Director of Admissions at Twin Lakes since March 2021.

Chris’s favorite part about working at Twin Lakes is working alongside the Twin Lakes staff, bringing people into treatment and of course, Twin Lakes’ mascot cows, Maverick & Goose. Chris enjoys woodworking and spending time with his wife, who is also in behavioral health, and their two children.

We’re grateful for Chris’s commitment to helping individuals begin their recovery journey and for the positivity and care he brings to our team each day. 💙
