As a team of dedicated speech-language pathologists at Carolina Speech Connections, we are proud to celebrate the unique strengths and abilities of individuals with Down syndrome, and highlight the importance of early intervention and speech therapy in empowering these individuals to thrive.
At Carolina Speech Connections, we recognize the power of communication in fostering independence and enhancing quality of life.
This World Down Syndrome Day, we honor the resilience and determination of every individual with Down syndrome, and we’re reminded of the profound impact that inclusive practices, support, and speech therapy can have on a person’s life.

Meet Cassidy, another one of our fabulous speech therapists! Cassidy has been working for Carolina Speech Connections since she graduated with her masters degree in Spring of 2023. Originally from Virginia, she attended graduate school at the University of Mississippi and then moved to Charlotte with her husband and two golden retrievers, Buddha and Finn. She is dedicated to providing neurodivergent affirming care to her families. Cassidy’s special interests include working with autistic children, AAC, early intervention, and feeding.

Meet Brittani, one of our amazing Speech-Language Pathologists at Carolina Speech Connections! 🌟 With 6 years of experience in pediatrics, Brittani is dedicated to providing speech and language therapy to children and helping them find their voice. Originally from New York, she met her husband and recently moved to NC where they adopted an adorable Australian Shepherd named Ozzy! 🐾 Brittani offers both home and office visits, making it easy to get support for your child’s needs.
