This week in Archives: We take a bit of advice for the New Year from Sister Marie Ann (Consilia) Ostrowski. She grew up in Detroit with five siblings. She attended St. Mary Academy at an especially momentous time: Class of 1929, the year the Academy burned down during graduation week. She entered the IHM community in 1931, meaning she also was present for the installation of the cornerstone of the new Academy in 1932. Sister Marie Ann taught primary and middle grades for more than 40 years. She was an excellent cook, a gardener, an artist and a seamstress. One Sister noted that she was an example of gracious living and, indeed, she loved her life and her vocation. Her daily routine might be a beneficial one for all of us to carry into a new year: Thank God each morning for life, then live each day as it comes. We wish you a happy 2026.

A Joyful Christmas Celebration at Saint Therese IHM Senior Living. Our staff, residents, and Sisters came together to share a truly special Christmas celebration filled with laughter, music, and holiday cheer. “The Ukes” brought the spirit of the season to life with festive tunes, filling our community with smiles and song. We were also delighted by a special visit from Santa and Santa’s Chef, who spread extra joy by handing out sweet treats to everyone.

We are thrilled to announce the 1st Place winners of our 2025 Staff Gingerbread Decorating Contest here at Saint Therese IHM Senior Living!

With an incredible 221 likes and 40 comments, the winning creation goes to Health Care Services for their amazing gingerbread masterpiece, “The Lions Stadium.”

Your creativity, teamwork, and holiday spirit truly stood out and brought so much joy to our community. Thank you to everyone who participated, voted, and helped make this contest such a fun and festive success!

Today we wrapped up our 12 Days of Employee Appreciation at Saint Therese IHM Senior Living with a beautiful staff Christmas party filled with gratitude and joy.

We honored and awarded our dedicated team members who have faithfully served our community for many years. We celebrated our teams commitment, compassion, and heart for our residents. The day was made even more special as we shared laughs, prayer, good food, games and wonderful company.

To our incredible staff, thank you for all that you do, not just during this season, but every single day. We are truly blessed by each and every one of you.
