Most running injuries don't start at impact. They start weeks earlier, in the tissues you never trained. We're breaking down the biomechanics of mobility: joint range of motion, myofascial restrictions, and why static stretching alone is failing you.

This isn't yoga. This is precision movement work built on science and engineered for runners.

Learn more about our NEW Running Screen or join us at Run! Ballantyne this upcoming weekend. Find the link to both in our bio.

The Q1 Woodpile Award goes to Kim Montgomery.⁣

A state championship coach. A mentor. A leader who genuinely cares for her players beyond the game.⁣

Coach Montgomery continues to make a lasting impact at Ardrey Kell High School, and we’re honored to recognize her with this award.⁣

Congratulations, Coach.⁣

Sometimes long term symptoms can be caused by a lack of direction and feedback. Once we built a plan around by giving him objective feedback (ROM, HHD) then aligning that with his strength and coaching staff, things shifted quickly. Give an athlete the right roadmap, and simply let their talent do the rest.

Talent gets attention.
Focus and preparation earn results.
The athletes who separate themselves aren’t doing anything flashy.
They’re consistent. They’re intentional. They’re ready when it matters.
Where can you be more focused this week?

Sore after a workout?⁣

That’s not a bad thing.⁣

It’s called DOMS. It usually shows up a day or two later and it’s a sign your body is adapting and getting stronger.⁣

The goal isn’t to avoid soreness.⁣
It’s to recover from it the right way.⁣

A few things that actually help:⁣
Get protein in within an hour after training⁣
Keep moving. Don’t just shut it down⁣
Use tools like foam rolling or light recovery work⁣
Stay consistent with your routine⁣

Recovery is where progress actually happens.⁣

Eastside Women’s Soccer came in for a recovery-focused session today.⁣

Foam rolling. Dynamic mobility. Guided stretch work.⁣

Then we spent time on what actually moves the needle off the field. Nutrition, sleep, and recovery habits.⁣

Training is only part of it. What you do outside the gym shows up on game day.

In-season doesn’t mean backing off. It means being intentional.⁣

Adam led this session with a clear focus: keep performance high without adding unnecessary wear and tear.⁣

Here’s what that looked like:⁣
• Extensive hops + low amplitude plyos to build elasticity and rhythm⁣
• Box jump variations to train intent while reducing landing stress⁣
• Squat patterns to maintain and build lower body strength⁣
• Hamstring-focused work to support knee health and deceleration⁣
• Upper body + rotational work for control and power transfer⁣

The goal during the season:⁣
- Stay explosive⁣
- Manage fatigue⁣
- Limit soreness⁣
- Show up ready on game day⁣

You don’t need to run athletes into the ground to get results. You need the right work at the right time.⁣

Train smart.⁣

Most athletes are working hard. Not all of them are fueling well. Start with three simple questions:
1. Did you eat breakfast?
2. Are you skipping meals?
3. Are you fueling your workouts?

These aren’t complicated, but they matter. A lot.
When athletes fuel consistently, they recover faster, perform better, and stay healthier.
If you’re a coach, parent, or athlete, start here.
