Decades ago, a group of volunteers came together with a powerful vision—to build a place of care, comfort, and community. Today, that vision still thrives at Ohio Living Mount Pleasant.
One of those young volunteers was Roger Carter, who helped build our very first buildings in 1952 at just 13 years old. Now, all these years later, Roger is a resident—living in the community he helped create.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Alyncia Bowen to the Ohio Living Board of Directors. Dr. Bowen brings over two decades of leadership and operations management experience in healthcare and higher education. She is Dean of the Ross College of Business at Franklin University, where she also serves as Chair of the Doctorate in Healthcare Administration Program and Director of the Global Center of Healthcare Education. Her experience and commitment to innovation will be invaluable as we continue to grow and serve our communities. Welcome, Dr. Bowen!

Have you ever thought about what your favorite ice cream flavor might say about you? It’s just for fun, of course, but sometimes our go-to treat can reflect little bits of our personality. For instance, if you always choose vanilla, you might be someone who’s calm, dependable, and brings a sense of steadiness when things get chaotic. Chocolate lovers tend to be a little bolder—rich in personality and always up for adding something extra to the day. Strawberry fans often have a sweet and gentle nature, brightening the room with their warmth and positivity.

If cookie dough is your favorite, chances are you’re fun-loving and creative, someone who’s always got a unique idea or two. Moose Tracks?
