Weather update and warming shelter information

With overnight temperatures forecast to fall well below freezing, we want to share available resources for anyone in need of a warm place to stay.

Union County Government has opened a shelter in partnership with the American Red Cross starting at 6 p.m. (Sat. Jan 24) at Monroe Middle School.

At this time, individuals without shelter and seeking basic shelter may go to the Union County Community Shelter, which has a warming shelter open and has had capacity available on recent nights. it is expected to remain open until the wind chill temperature is warmer than 32 degrees F overnight.
