Hello fellow Monrovians! It has come to my attention that a mailer sent out for the Municipal Election inadvertantly had my title of Town Clerk over the name of Victor Yanosy. Victor is running for Constable, not Town Clerk.

A message from First Selectman Ken Kellogg:

Two Important Meetings Next Week

Monday, February 27, 2023 at 6:00 PM in Town Hall, Council Chambers

The Town Council has noticed a Town Meeting for the purposes of voting on three bonding (borrowing) resolutions for projects already included in the current (FY23) budget. These projects have been recommended by me, the Town Council, and Board of Finance. These resolutions will continue funding for road reconstruction as well as vehicles and equipment for our volunteer fire services, public works, and parks & recreation departments. The Town's outstanding debt balance continues to trend downward, even when including the proposed borrowing for these projects.

Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 7:00 PM in Town Hall Council Chambers & Zoom

The Town Council will conduct a Public Hearing during a special meeting of Town Council. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm and the public hearing will begin at 7:00 pm. As per Town Charter, the purpose of the Public Hearing is to provide any elector or taxpayer the opportunity to be heard regarding the Town budget as currently proposed.

All residents are welcome to attend and be part of this important process.

Please visit the town's website at www.monroect.gov to review details on the Town Meeting as well as the proposed 2023/2024 Annual Town of Monroe Budget.
