People United Behavioral Health is proud to help share this important message from the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) in recognition of Child Drowning Prevention Month.

Drowning can happen in seconds and is often silent — but it is preventable. Together, we can help keep Louisiana children safe by spreading awareness about water safety, supervision, swim education, and prevention strategies.

We encourage families, caregivers, child care organizations, and community partners to visit the LDH water safety resource page for valuable information, safety tips, videos, and free/reduced-cost swim lesson resources:

Thank you to the Louisiana Department of Health, Children’s Cabinet, and Louisiana Children’s Trust Fund for leading this important statewide awareness campaign.

Please help us share this message and promote water safety in our communities. 💙
