Ahrens Valley Eyeworks was established in the fall of 1995. After over 40 years in the Optical field, and a license to practice Opticianry, I had the opportunity and ambition to establish an Eye Care Practice close to home. The creation of this Vision facility offered the kind of family feel and warmth that I had seen disappearing in the later years of this profession. The basis of this practice entailed the highest quality standards, yet never underscoring the personal touch and individual attention that we offer each and every customer. Our facility offers Comprehensive Eye exams, Great service, and a staff of dedicated and caring professionals. We bring many years of experience and skills to Monroe, Washington and the neighboring Sky Valley Communities. We provide this in a relaxed and family oriented facility where every one is greeted, and treated the very best. With the ever-changing technologies and medical advances of today, We are continually updating our license requirements with continuing Ed courses. We then bring all the new and exciting advances to the practice, in form of frame collections, new lens designs, contact lenses, and medical updates. The Eye care field is a multi faceted profession. The Eye exam must be accurate and thorough, the frame selection and lens choice, be streamlined to each individuals unique vision needs and requirements. These services cannot be rushed. Each person has his or her own unique look. Each face shape differs, each set of eyes lay out differently on the face. Each set of eyewear must be customised in specific ways to accommodate each persons lifestyle need. A pair for computer use, to a set for night driving, from water sports, to a set for the workshop. Each persons lifestyle is extensive and one set often doesn't fill the day to day activities we enjoy. I personally wear 4 sets of eyewear. Progressives for day to day activities, a set of Prescription Polarized Driving Glasses, a set for the workshop, and a set for my Computer. I think of them as tools and each one is used for a specific task.
A Quality set of Eyewear involves several important elements. Lens correction fine tuned to a Specific need, appropriate lens and frame materials, color and design, comfort and custom lens options. They are all interwoven and equally important. Today’s incredible array of lens choices, technology, and the vast frame designs from the world over, must be individualized to each patient before the sale takes place. Ahrens Valley Eyeworks is a place that will provide an approach to eye care a bit different from what you have been used to. We do not sell glasses, “We sell Vision.”
