Over this holiday weekend, Event Horizon Talent/Tri-Star Appearances was pleased to have coordinated an appearance by director Rachel Talalay at Chicago TARDIS in Lombard, Illinois. While you may know her as the director of cult films like "Tank Girl" and "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare", she also has, of late, directed several episodes of Doctor Who, including this weekend's "The Star Beast" 60th anniversary special and one of the highest critically rated episodes of the entire franchise, Season 9's "Heaven Sent", which featured a tour-de-force performance from then-Doctor Peter Capaldi.

As part of the weekend festivities, Talalay also provided live director commentary for both episodes to full convention crowds.
