This is so heart breaking … Independent Pharmacies are closing at a fast pace BECAUSE of the unfair Insurance Reimbursements and the PBMs not being regulated and hold to high standards!
Don’t let this happen to Carmichael's and other independent pharmacies …. Contact your State Representatives & State Senators today!!!
As of January 2026, the U.S. Representative for Walton County, Georgia, is Mike Collins (R), who represents Georgia's 10th Congressional District. For state-level representation, portions of Walton County are represented by state Representative Bruce Williamson (District 112).
To our valued customers:
After much consideration, Baldwyn L&L Pharmacy will be closing permanently on February 9th. We are grateful for every patient we’ve had the privilege to serve. You are the reason we’ve hung on so long. You’ve brought us so much joy! There were days you laughed with us and days you prayed with us. We want you to know that this was not an easy decision. We did not want to close. Insurance reimbursements below aquisition cost are to blame. We have begged and pleaded to state legislators for PBM reform over the last year. We came close to getting reform passed in early 2025, but sadly that reform was thrown out or bought out by lobbyists. Repayments from insurance companies have gotten progressively worse and due to that alone we have no other choice but to cease business.
As we close our doors, we extend our sincere gratitude to our customers for allowing us to serve you. We want to thank you for your loyalty over the last 6 years. You were more than a customer to us; you became our family. Your support has meant more to us than we can express, and we wish you continued health and happiness.
We will not be placing any new drug orders. If we have your medication in stock we can fill it for you if it’s time. As for your remaining refills—Your prescriptions can be transferred to any pharmacy you choose, and our team is happy to help with the process.
With the recent winter storm, there have been widespread outages as you all know. We have power at the pharmacy, but our phone, fax, and internet continue to be down. We can be reached thru Facebook messenger or you can email us at baldwynlandlpharmacy@gmail.com (we do have availability to check email.
